Admission Requirements
Admission to the B.Sc. Nursing programme is carried out as per the norms prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the State Government, and the affiliated University. Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.
1. Age Requirement
Minimum age: 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Maximum age: 35 years.
2. Educational Qualification
Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
General Category: Minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
SC/ST/OBC Category: Minimum 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
English is compulsory and must be passed individually.
Candidates from recognized State Open School and NIOS with Science subjects are also eligible.
3. Medical Fitness
Candidates must be medically fit as certified by a registered medical practitioner.
Colour blind candidates are eligible if prescribed corrective lenses are used.
4. Entrance Examination
Admission is based on the entrance examination conducted by the University or State Government.
Subjects include Aptitude for Nursing, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (20 Marks each).
Total Marks: 100.
5. Minimum Qualifying Criteria
General Category – 50th Percentile
SC/ST/OBC – 40th Percentile
General (PwD) – 45th Percentile
SC/ST/OBC (PwD) – 40th Percentile
6. Reservation Policy
Reservation of seats is applicable as per Government of India and State Government norms.
5% reservation is available for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
Reservation is applicable within the sanctioned intake.
7. Important Guidelines
Admissions are conducted once every academic year.
Academic session normally commences in August.
Admission is subject to verification of original documents.
No admissions will be permitted after the prescribed cut-off date.
8. Foreign Nationals
Foreign applicants must obtain qualification equivalency from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
Eligibility shall be as per Indian Nursing Council and affiliated University regulations.
9. Student Health Services
Annual medical examination.
Hepatitis-B and Tetanus vaccination.
Free medical care during illness.
Individual student health records are maintained throughout the programme.
